There is no propeller shaft; the drive goes through two front driveshafts, and these are the one component that cannot come from either donor. Both manufacturers supply purpose-made shafts and both build them as hybrids: the MTB2 kit includes two Mini/Honda chromoly axle shafts rated by the vendor at 400 hp, assembled with the complete OUTER Mini CV joint assembly at the wheel end and the complete INNER Honda CV joint assembly at the gearbox end, with the Honda race driven onto the shaft with a hammer and socket and the supplied gear fitted at the small end.
