Swap knowledge is scattered across forums, groups and videos. Swaplements collects it in one place — structured, traceable and with sources.
An engine swap rarely fails because of the engine. It fails on the oil pan, the wiring loom, the driveshaft, the ECU — on the twenty small things nobody wrote down beforehand. Those small things are what you find here.
Every swap is documented along the same blocks: engine origin, oil pan, engine mounts, gearbox, driveshaft, wiring, ECU, exhaust, cooling, brakes. Every statement needs at least two independent sources, otherwise it is marked as not backed.
An empty field with a reason is a better result than a plausible-sounding invention. That is why fields stay open here where other sites guess.
It is not a guide to getting past an inspection. The focus is engineering and documentation. What is legally allowed is decided by the inspection authority — not by this site.
The database is being built. It grows swap by swap instead of in one big release. If you find an error or want to contribute your own build, the contact page tells you how.
